A near-field Raman spectrum of silicon. Silicon is a very important material for semi-conductor devices. The stokes and anti-stokes line of silicon Raman scattering is observed in near-field. The broad band is the Raman scattering from the fiber probe. Strong line at 0 cm-1 is Rayleigh scattering (excitation light) and the trench around 0 cm-1 is the region rejected by the notch filter.
